If Mexican and tequila are what you crave when heading out then there is no going past La Cholita. Its fun, laid back vibe is infectious and what was meant to be a quick bite and a shot turns into dinner, four shots and a margarita chaser, every time.
Bite-size tostadas got the palate going – think crab meat and avo – so simple, so good – moving onto a grilled corn, bean, green onion and queso fresco and then got really serious with a whole pork hock, chipotle and prune braise. Sensational and great value at sub $30. Its tequila list is three pages long, so take your time, or better yet let the bartenders do their thang with a well-built signature cocktail.
