The West Australian Good Food Guide (WAGFG) is the definitive guide to eating and drinking in Western Australia. The country’s only state-based restaurant guide, WAGFG exists to share unparalleled experiences with its readers through an annual restaurant guide, as well as regular editorial and video content, news, events ranging from dining series to cooking schools with top chefs and an exciting partnership program with like-minded brands and organisations.
Our year peaks with our annual awards night in October, where we celebrate the state’s Top 100 eating and drinking experiences and celebrate the industry with a suite of 19 awards, including Chef of the Year and Restaurant of the Year. The results, and reviews of all 100 venues, are housed on our site, along with regularly updated coverage of new openings.
As well as being an ambassador for the state’s hospitality scene, WAGFG shines a light on the outstanding growers and producers that make our state such a rich place to eat and drink, and celebrate the state’s best winemakers and brewers through our annual WAGFG wine and beer awards.
WAGFG has a proud history of independence, and its lists are overseen by an expert team of judges comprising some of the country’s best and most experienced food writers, who work to a set of strict criteria to narrow the field to the best of the best across bars, restaurants and casual dining.
At its core, WAGFG is driven by a love for Western Australian hospitality, and by the aim to be an effective marketing platform for WA hospitality venues, to inspire excellence in the industry and to achieve enhanced commercial success for the WA industry at large.
