Oh what a night it was! Thank you to all that attended The West Australian Good Food Guide Awards Night on Monday at Crown Towers. The night was a glamorous as the Brownlows and as nerve-wracking as the Oscars. Congratulations to the 100 venues that made our Top 50 and Top 25 lists. You were the stars of the night.
The night kicked off in style at the pre-awards function; the grazing table from Kara Kara was a sensational complement to canapés created by Crown Executive Chef Sean-Marco, oysters from Fins Seafood and an all-star line-up of beverages from Laurent Perrier, McHenry Hohnen and Victory Point Wines, PIMMS, Gage Roads and San Pellegrino.
The awards ceremony was lead by Rob Broadfield and his on-stage partner Erez Gordon who kicked off the proceedings with a memorable address to over 400 members of the WA hospitality industry. The awards themselves were full of goose-bump moments with some heartfelt and touching speeches from the winners. It was an inspiring night for the industry and the energy and positivity in the room was palatable.
The party kicked on the Crystal Club where guests boomeranged cocktail clinks courtesy of West Winds and Whipper Snapper. Guests danced to tunes from guest DJ’s Guillaume Brahimi, Guy Grossi and Fiona Sham from Varnish on King. An incredible spread of canapés from our produce partners at Mondo’s, Fins, Mount Barker Chicken and Wagin Duck & Game were devoured by hungry guests – the Sue Lewis chocolate station was the perfect end to an evening of celebration and comradeship. The party kicked on till the wee hours in TWR at Crown Towers.
The night would not have been possible without the support of our guests and our wonderful sponsor family. We have some big plans for the WAGFG program as we head into 2019. Stay tuned for news on special WAGFG events, industry forums and a special marketing service we’ll be launching in the new year to help support WA venues.
Stay tuned – official video of the night will be launching November 9th!
