It starts with a spritz and rarely ends where you expect. A long lunch drifts into aperitivo hour, a wine masterclass becomes dinner across the road, and Subiaco hums with the kind of energy usually reserved for European summer streets. For four days in March, Subi Spritz turns the precinct into a connected dining circuit built for those who like to move between venues, glasses and tables.
From March 26 to 29, Subi Spritz returns for its fifth year, with more than 20 events transforming Subiaco into a celebration of spritz culture, shared tables and roaming between venues. It is not simply a series of bookings. It is a moment when the neighbourhood aligns.
What makes Subi Spritz so compelling is not just what is poured or plated, but the access it creates. Restaurants, bars and winemakers step beyond their own walls and partner up, producing experiences that would not ordinarily exist. For diners, that means rare alignments, unexpected crossovers and the chance to experience favourite venues in a new way.
That collaborative spirit is woven through the 2026 program.
Wine and venue partnerships set the tone early. Lums joins forces with Flowstone and Somos for Wine Battle Vol. 4, bringing three venues together for a guided tasting of six European wines paired with Italian grazing boards. It is designed for those who enjoy debating their drops as much as drinking them.

Burrata Masterclass at Bar Amelie
Howard Park Wines threads its way through the festival in a series of standout collaborations. The winery marks its 40th anniversary with a Riesling and Cabernet masterclass, while Jeté and Jerry pairs sparkling with impeccably shucked oysters in a session hosted alongside oyster authority Jerry Fraser and State Manager Gerome Vaughan. At Bar Amelie, La Delizia Latticini hosts a burrata masterclass, with Howard Park Wines elevating the experience through thoughtful pairings that turn fresh cheesemaking into a long, indulgent afternoon.
Chef crossovers add another layer. Throughout the weekend, venues open their kitchens to visiting talent, including a Juanita’s x Nieuw Ruin x Off Licence collaboration and the Euro Sunday Sesh chef line up with Ben Ing (FOUND, Alberta’s) and Ben Jacob (Masseria, Cherubino, Cherubino City Cellar). These are limited seat opportunities to experience chefs outside their usual format, often in spaces that shift the tone of their food entirely. It is a reminder that some of the most memorable dining moments happen when boundaries blur.

European Long Lunch at The Unicorn Bar
Long lunches remain a cornerstone of the program; the Basque Long Table at Lums, the European Long Lunch at The Unicorn Bar, and Champagne, Chardonnay et Charcuterie at La Bastide are designed to stretch across the afternoon and into the evening. The joy lies not only in the menu, but in what comes next. A spritz at The Kiosk. A tasting across the road. A spontaneous booking that turns one event into an all day affair. Block the diary, grab your nearest and dearest and allow for spontaneity.
For those who like to roam, the Subi Culinary Crawl and Vino and Cicchetti Trail Presented by Sandhurst invite you to move between venues at your own pace. Rather than committing to one dining room, you taste your way through the neighbourhood, discovering new favourites along the way. It is here that Subi Spritz feels most European, with Subiaco operating as a connected culinary playground rather than a collection of addresses.

Vino and Cicchetti Trail
Beyond individual events, The Kiosk returns from March 26 to 28, transforming Forrest Walk into an Italian style piazza complete with a pop up spritz bar and ‘Italo’ disco DJs. It becomes a natural meeting point between bookings, somewhere to begin the night or wind it down.
Now firmly established on Perth’s dining calendar, Subi Spritz has evolved into more than a themed weekend. It is four days where venues align, chefs collaborate and winemakers step into the spotlight, inviting diners to experience Subiaco as a destination in motion.

The Kiosk
For WA food lovers who build their social calendar around distinctive dining, it is an opportunity to secure seats at events that exist only once a year, in combinations unlikely to be repeated.
Subi Spritz runs from March 26 to 29. The full program is available at subispritz.com.au.
