RAC Busselton Holiday Park
As one of WA’s most trusted brands, why wouldn’t you put your holiday stay in the hands of the RAC?
In a region that’s spread between Cape Naturaliste to the north and Cape Leeuwin to the south, with more than 100km between them, there’s always the debate of where to stay. RAC Busselton Holiday Park makes its case easily. A short walk from a dip in the ocean at Geographe Bay would be enough for most, but it’s also just a short drive up and down the coast to newly energised Busselton with its thriving food scene and everyone’s down south favourite, Dunsborough.
With a range of accommodation options from modern family cabins to powered pitches with well-maintained communal facilities, there’s wide appeal here.

What’s There
Set on eight hectares of native bushland with its own lake, you don’t need to leave to get a taste of the outdoor lifestyle. Take a walk around the park, a swim in one of the two pools or live out your hoop dreams on the basketball court. For those who aren’t pitching a tent or parking the caravan, the various self-catered cabins are all equipped with modern kitchens and bathrooms. Comfort has obviously been taken into consideration here, whether you’re a family or a lone traveller.
What’s Around
In a region that’s so rich in food and wine possibilities, it can be easy to forget that there are other pursuits on offer. The iconic Busselton Jetty juts out 1.8km into the Indian Ocean and houses the spectacular Underwater Observatory. Ngilgi Cave near Yallingup is one of the best examples of the multitude of caves that exist in the region. Open daily from 9 am to 5pm, you can go self-guided or Koomal Dreaming— run by traditional custodian Josh Whiteland, explore Wadandi culture and how it relates to the cave, country and waters surrounding it.
What’s Super Special
The range of accommodation makes this an accessible option for multi-generational holidaying or to bring a large group of friends together. One group might prefer to settle into a well-equipped cabin while another might pull up a caravan or camper trailer. You may even choose to circle the wagons and make your own camp.
Children
The park is an ideal stay for families with swimming pools, mini-golf, a basketball court, jumping pillow, pedal go-karts and more. Set in eight hectares, it offers a self-contained environment for those who want to stay close to their accommodation.
Breakfast
Open from 8am (Thursday-Monday), Claudio Bakehouse is just minutes away. Once you’ve discovered the charms of this Italian-leaning bakery, you may well be back for lunch.
Eating and Drinking
Over the last several years, Busselton has forged a reputation as an up-and-coming dining destination with its very own Eat Street. Venture down Queen Street and you’ll find crowd favourites Mano Wraps and Burger Bones, while just off the main strip, you’ve got the likes of Banksia Tavern and Busselton Pavilion with its coastal pub charm and award-winning adjoining wine bar. On the foreshore, Shelter Brewing Co. combines an Indian Ocean outlook with a roster of beers that never disappoint.
Things to Book
Two not-to-be-missed experiences on the water book up quickly, so it pays to get in early. Set sail on a Taste of the Bays Cruise for a seven-course gourmet dinner drawing on the wine and produce of the Margaret River region. From September to early November, you can catch the southern migration of Humpback and Southern Right whales through Geographe Bay—an unforgettable experience.
Notes
If you’re roaming during your holiday, RAC’s portfolio of accommodation extends throughout the South West, including Maragret River, Karri Valley and even down to Esperance.
