Ronnie Nights is difficult to categorise, which is part of its charm. It’s part dive bar, part hippy hangout, part pub for real people.
The cocktail program here is front and centre, with an innovative roster of seasonal cocktails (none of them too sweet, a rare blessing) and a good selection of beers and wines.
There is food, mainly Chilean. The beef and pinot empanadas are worth travelling suburbs for – they are exquisitely well balanced, almost fruity from pinot noir and with pastry as flaky as Kanye. We recommend their juicy burgers and their various offerings “on a stick”, including the fried haloumi.
It may be low key, but it is one of WA’s most quirky and successful bars.
