Odyssea opened in a blaze of publicity three years ago, as befits such a prominent seaside venue. It’s breathtaking architecture, wide open decks, stand-alone cocktail bar and espresso bar, make this well-kitted out mega-restaurant something to behold.

Its success was in no small part due to a lack of upper-echelon restaurant offers in the northern beaches. Locals flocked to it from day one, and Odyssea hasn’t looked back since.

The menu is straightforward, no-nonsense and accessible. House smoked brandade made with salted local snapper is light and clean-flavoured. Lamb Their rillettes are well seasoned and softly fatty. The wine list is sound, with many of the titles designed to work with the beachside dining aesthetic and the well-designed menu.
