Northbridge’s Henry Summer is part of the Lavish Habits group alongside Alabama Song, Joe’s Juice Joint, La Cholita and Sneaky Tony’s. Described as an “urban cocktail and wine garden”, it’s a more relaxed affair than its bustling and energetic siblings, and one of a few city bars open seven days for lunch and dinner.

You can’t miss the flora, with a tropical-ish jungle landscape defining the vibe. It’s a laid back venue where most of the fun is had outdoors, especially when the weather is pleasant, although there’s a comfortable inside bar if you want to escape the elements.

The cocktail selection is limited – Henry’s is all about getting the booze served quickly and in sizeable volumes – and while staff endeavour to be helpful, recommendations can be tricky when there’s only a few cocktails to point at. Unsurprisingly, the house Espresso Martini is a popular choice, and the wine and beer list covers all bases.

The all-day menu offers snacks, sharing plates and mains. Mains range from steaks to salads with gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options. Snacks sit around $18 with mains under $30. Expect a good-value night out, particularly if you’re sharing.
