Come for the view, stay for the hospitality.

A decade on and this is still one of the most impressive pubs in the Great Southern, and even beyond. The wraparound waterfront deck and panoramic windows facing Princess Royal Harbour obviously help its case. Even, and perhaps especially, on those days when the weather rolls in from the Southern Ocean, this is the place to be. At the bar and the attached bottle shop there’s a wealth of local labels from the surrounding sub-regions, while the tap list has an egalitarian air. Pint of Swan Draught, you got it. Esoteric IPA from a small WA brewer? No worries. At first look, the menu is very much classic pub fare – think pizzas, burgers and weighty steaks – but do check out the daily specials for crabs bathed in housemade gochujang, locally caught King George whiting (battered of course), and slow-cooked beef rib.
