Alabama Song is local bar mastermind Clint Nolan’s tribute to America’s south, offering 130 rye whiskeys and bourbons, bespoke cocktails and a range of on-tap and in-can beers.
It’s much loved by the hospitality industry, who trickle in after service. The food menu is small and, you guessed it, features southern fried chicken, cheeseburgers and fries. The burger is acceptable, the chicken crisp and generous, but Joe’s Dirty Fries are the star of this show.
If you’re feeling skint, grab a bowl of Cheezels for $2. Oh, and if you’re planning on shooting an Instagram masterpiece, it’s way too dark, so don’t bother. Which just seems right.
