Gibney 2025 Winner

Having scooped many of our top awards this year, and impressing all that stepped over the threshold, it was unanimous that this Cottesloe newcomer would take the top spot. The epitome of great hospitality, nothing is left unchecked in this ocean-facing brasserie-grill. What makes it so memorable? It’s everything from the killer Champagne list to the bespoke tableside martini service. It’s chef James Cole Bowen’s monumental step up from his feted tenure at The Corner Dairy, and restaurateur George Kailis’ mix of enthusiasm and obsession when pulling all the elements together. And not forgetting Richard Dormer and his pastry section with work that deserves its own award. A restaurant of ambition and scope, and one that’s important for the hospitality scene throughout the state. A calling card if you will.
