It may surprise some that the historic A-Shed home of Gage Roads has only been a fixture on the Walyalup Waterfront since early 2022, but in that time it’s become a quintessential Fremantle experience, capturing the energy of the working port and the relaxed coastal spirit of both the brand and the people behind it. There are few venues that manage hospitality at this scale with such quality and consistency. Executive chef Danny Sanchez has driven quality from the outset, with a menu perfectly pitched, to its location and its customers. The beers are fresh as they come; the added draw of limited-release brews made on site, alongside the core range brewed up the road. True to its roots as one of Western Australia’s brewing icons.
