Catherine MacDougall 2026 Winner
As co-founder of Prepare Produce Provide, a not-for-profit dedicated to creating pathways for young people into education, hospitality and food, Catherine MacDougall has driven lasting change. Through initiatives such as the ‘Djinda Ngardak’ culinary program, First Nations youth from across Western Australia are given the opportunity to learn from top chefs and cultural leaders. Another flagship project, ‘5000Meals’ takes aim at two systemic problems – food wastage and food insecurity. Since 2012, over 100,000 nutritious meals have been created for those experiencing homelessness, as chefs, students and volunteers come together to save rescued food. Catherine’s impact extends beyond those directly supported and empowered by her NFP; her work inspires others to engage and take action within their own communities.
