Sonny's 2025 Winner

For that particular band of obsessives who collect menus like memories, snagging one from Sonny’s is surely a prize. Next-gen head chef Sofika Boulton is no stranger to acclaim, having headed up the kitchen at Bar Rogue when it won this award in 2023. At the Mount Hawthorn wine bar she now calls home, you could quite easily say ‘bring us everything’, and graze your way through house pickles and cured meats, fresh oysters, scallops in Koji cream, or larger plates of beef flank with fermented this and that. There’s a feeling of a menu that’s changing with the seasons, and a chef that’s clearly having a ball.
