There are winemakers, and then there is Vanya Cullen—a name synonymous with innovation, sustainability and some of Australia’s most lauded wines.

On Saturday 30 August at 6 pm, Small Print invites you to join her for A Night with Vanya—an exclusive, immersive dinner featuring insights from one of Australia’s foremost proponents of biodynamic viticulture.

As part of the 2025 Plateful Perth programme, this evening will be much more than just an evening of incredible food and wine. It’s a celebration of terroir, sustainability and stewardship. Vanya Cullen—recipient of the Order of Australia in 2023 and the first woman to be named Qantas/The Wine Magazine Winemaker of the year—has guided Cullen Wines to become Australia’s first 100% carbon‑neutral, certified biodynamic estate. Under her leadership, the estate has embraced deep commitment to sustainability, holistic viticulture and respect for nature.

Throughout the evening, Vanya will share her winemaking journey, her deep connection to the Wilyabrup land as well as insight into the philosophy behind their award-winning wines. As these stories unfold, guests will enjoy a four‑course menu, with each course paired to iconic Cullen wines—including the celebrated Diana Madeline Cabernet Sauvignon—alongside unlimited pours of Grace Madeline Sauvignon Blanc Semillon and the Ephraim Malbec Blend.

This one‑night‑only event is a rare opportunity to dine intimately with a true pioneer of the Margaret River wine region—an experience not to be missed by wine aficionados or anyone looking to explore the world of wine more deeply.
